Missouri Loves WebQuests

The eMINTS Winter Conference is finishing up today in Columbia, Missouri, providing another 200 or so teachers with some terrific professional development on WebQuest design.

eMINTS — enhancing Missouri's Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies — transforms elementary classrooms into places for learning where teachers and students use multimedia tools to better understand the world, work together and achieve at new and higher levels. WebQuest development has been a core component of the program from the start.

eMINTS has set up technology-rich classrooms and trained hundreds of teachers all over the state and now it's poised to go national. Already there is an eMINTS spinoff in Utah and there's interest elsewhere. What distinguishes eMINTS from other programs is the sustained effort... it's been going in one form or another since 1997... and the well thought out system of training and support. The best of the eMINTS WebQuests are listed here, and there will be more soon. Check it out!
