WebQuests in Singapore

There's a lot of WebQuest activity here in Singapore, as evidenced at the level of interest at the ICET 2004 conference. Thanks to a lot of evangelizing by folks at the National Institute of Singapore, a number of teachers have been exposed to WebQuests for the last few years. The Ministry of Education has begun promoting more active learning and higher level thinking, so the ground is fertile.

This is a shot of the very smart group who attended a half day workshop. They'll be adding some unique new quests to the mix before long!

I think we are still lagging, not moving fast enough in employing webquest, but as a young teacher, I am thankful for webquest cose being someone who love creating artifacts like newsletters and presentations, I would love to learn via webquest more than anything!
